Gospel music fans across the nation are buzzing with excitement as acclaimed South African worship leader Ncebakazi Msomi announces the launch of her newest project, Homecoming. The launch is set for Friday, 15 May 2026, at 18:00 at the Downtown Christian Centre on Oxford Street in Southernwood, East London, affectionately known to locals as Monti or kuGompo. Fans are invited to join Msomi on a spiritual journey through her ministry and musical evolution. Tickets range from R350 to R400 and are available via Webtickets. Supporters are encouraged to book early, as this promises to be a sold-out night of praise.

The event will highlight Msomi’s highly anticipated album, The 37th Psalm, also promoted as The 37th Psalm (Live at Emperors Palace) in connection with the Homecoming theme. Building on the success of her debut album, The 34th Psalm, which earned awards, gold certification, and widespread acclaim, this new release delivers live recordings filled with raw emotion, deep faith, and Msomi’s signature soaring vocals.

Listeners have already been moved by tracks like “Yebo NguYe”, inspired by Matthew 27:45-54, and “Bulelani uYehova”, which have amassed millions of streams on Spotify and prompted pre-orders even before its digital release in late 2025. Released under her Grace & Mercy Music label, the album explores themes of trust, deliverance, and devotion, drawing directly from Psalm 37: “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.”

Born in Mdantsane, Msomi first rose to national prominence through Joyous Celebration before launching her solo career. She describes this album launch as more than a performance. “It’s an answered call,” she shared in recent promotions. “East London, Monti, kuGompo — let’s answer it as one!” The evening will feature live performances, ministry moments, and fellowship opportunities, allowing both longtime supporters and new fans to experience the full impact of her latest work.

With her music topping gospel charts and touching lives far beyond South Africa, this homecoming represents a full-circle moment. After years of touring, recording, and ministering across the country, Msomi is bringing the celebration back to where it all began.

Fans from Johannesburg and other regions can expect similar experiences in the future, but for those in the Eastern Cape, this May 2026 gathering is a special pilgrimage. As one promoter noted: “Iyobonana e East London” — see you in East London.

Tickets and further information are available on Webtickets. This is a true homecoming in every sense, a night not to be missed.
