Elevation Rhythm Extends “Washed” Run At #1 With Billboard Hot 100 Debut
Elevation Rhythm Extends “Washed” Run At #1 With Billboard Hot 100 Debut. Elevation Rhythm is reaching a new milestone with “Washed,” as the worship collective celebrates its ninth consecutive week at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart while making its first appearance on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100.

The Charlotte, North Carolina-based collective from Elevation Church enters the Hot 100 at No. 97, giving the group its first placement on the chart and marking another significant moment in its growing presence within Christian music.
Released in September 2025 through Elevation Worship Records, “Washed” has become one of Elevation Rhythm’s defining songs. The track was written by Josh Holiday, the collective’s creative director and producer, alongside Mitch Wong, Joe L. Barnes and Elevation Church pastor Steven Furtick. The song was recorded live and completed within hours, giving it an energetic worship sound built around guitars and an upbeat arrangement.
Nate Diaz, a worship leader within Elevation’s youth ministry, handles the lead vocals. His energetic performance reinforces the song’s central message, which focuses on freedom from shame, guilt and condemnation through the gospel.
Holiday has previously explained that “Washed” speaks to the burdens people carry, presenting the gospel as a message that meets people in the reality of everyday life. The song points listeners toward the belief that shame and guilt do not have the final word.
“Washed” first reached No. 1 on Hot Christian Songs on the chart dated July 4, 2026, during its 40th week on the chart. The achievement marked Elevation Rhythm’s first No. 1 on the tally. The song has also topped the Christian Airplay and Christian AC charts, following the group’s earlier success with “Goodbye Yesterday,” which peaked at No. 5.
The song’s momentum was further strengthened by the release of the live album Washed in July 2026, giving listeners a larger live worship setting around the track that had already gained traction across Christian radio and streaming platforms.
Its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 now places Elevation Rhythm among Christian artists who have crossed into the all-genre chart, reflecting the wider reach the group has achieved with its music.
For Holiday and the collective, however, the chart milestones were not the original goal. The group began with a desire to serve young people and the wider Church through music.
“We did not begin with a strategy to chase a No. 1; we began as a family of young people who loved Jesus, loved the Church and wanted to use what was in our hands to serve people,” Holiday said. “To see these songs travel beyond the rooms where they were first written is humbling.”
With “Washed” spending nine straight weeks at the top of Hot Christian Songs and now making its Hot 100 debut, Elevation Rhythm is marking a significant chapter in its journey.
