The singer shared the inspiration behind the project in a heartfelt message to fans, revealing that the song was born from a prophetic theme declared at the beginning of ANOT2026: Overflow.

“Overflow in peace. Overflow in grace. Overflow in strength. Overflow in every good and perfect gift that comes from the Lord,” Janet Manyowa reflected, recalling the declaration that shaped the year’s spiritual journey.

According to the gospel minister, the song emerged during that season as a declaration of a deeper joy—one not dependent on life’s circumstances but firmly anchored in God’s goodness and faithfulness.

Manyowa initially believed the song would be performed and recorded during the ANOT2026 gathering. However, she says God’s plans unfolded differently.

Quoting Romans 8:28, she expressed gratitude for how events eventually aligned, allowing her to collaborate with the renowned Joyfull Praise Choir.

“What a blessing this has been,” she wrote, describing the choir as gifted, vibrant, and anointed.

The collaboration marks a significant moment in Zimbabwe’s gospel music landscape, bringing together two influential worship ministries united by a message of hope and thanksgiving.

Reflecting on recent months, Manyowa spoke of witnessing God’s sustaining power through various seasons, saying He has continued to provide, protect, and surround His people with mercy and goodness.

She described Mufaro waShe as her personal response to that faithfulness—a song of overflowing gratitude and thanksgiving.

“NdiMwari chete!” she declared, a Shona expression meaning “It is God alone.”

As anticipation builds for the release, Manyowa says her prayer is that listeners will experience the joy of the Lord overflowing in their homes, families, hearts, and personal journeys.

The forthcoming single is expected to carry a message of encouragement and divine remembrance, echoing the artist’s conviction that God’s mercy and faithfulness remain constant through every season.

“He has remembered by His mercy and His faithfulness,” Manyowa concluded.

Mufaro waShe will be released in nine days.
