Josiah Queen Makes Billboard 200 Top 20 With ‘Damascus Road’ Album
Josiah Queen Makes Billboard 200 Top 20 With ‘Damascus Road’ Album. Josiah Queen is taking Christian music to new heights after securing an impressive debut inside the Billboard 200 Top 20 with his latest album, Damascus Road. The project has entered the all-genre chart at No. 16 for the week of November 7, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the rising singer-songwriter and a rare achievement for contemporary Christian music.

Released on October 23 through Capitol CMG and F&L Music Group, the 14-track album represents another major step forward for the 23-year-old Tampa native, whose music continues to reach audiences well beyond the Christian music scene. With more than 2.1 billion global streams and over three million social media followers, Josiah Queen has established himself as one of the most influential emerging voices in Christian music. He currently ranks as the world’s second most-streamed Christian artist.
Damascus Road follows the success of his previous projects, The Prodigal (2024) and Mt. Zion (2025), both of which topped Billboard’s Top Christian Albums chart. While Mt. Zion reached No. 57 on the Billboard 200, his latest release has taken things considerably further, breaking into the chart’s upper ranks.
Drawing inspiration from the biblical account of Paul’s encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, the album centres on themes of redemption, spiritual transformation, personal struggles and the power of faith. It also introduces a new dimension to Queen’s musical identity, as he recorded with a full band for the first time, giving his familiar folk-rock approach a richer and more energetic sound.
Among the project’s standout songs are the gold-certified single “demons,” which reached No. 1 on Christian radio and Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs chart, alongside “out of breath,” “judas,” “sundays,” “make heaven crowded” and “when I see You.” The album also features collaborations with Elevation Rhythm, ZVC, Aodhán King, Chelsea Plank and Forrest Frank, who joins Queen on the closing track, “Jesus Is Coming Back Soon.”
The chart achievement comes shortly after another memorable moment in Queen’s career. At the 57th GMA Dove Awards, the singer walked away with three awards, including Song of the Year and Pop/Contemporary Recorded Song of the Year for his platinum-certified Hot 100 hit “Dusty Bibles.” He also received seven nominations overall, including a nod for Artist of the Year.
Beyond its musical achievements, Damascus Road carries a meaningful purpose. Queen has committed 100% of the proceeds from the album’s CD and vinyl sales towards supporting persecuted Christians around the world. The decision was inspired by stories of believers enduring persecution and difficult circumstances because of their faith.
Queen’s Billboard 200 breakthrough further highlights the growing reach of Christian music, particularly as contemporary worship and faith-driven songwriting continue finding audiences across different musical spaces. His ability to combine honest storytelling, memorable melodies and deeply personal expressions of faith has helped him connect with listeners beyond the genre’s traditional boundaries.
Looking ahead, Queen is preparing to take the album on the road with his biggest headlining tour to date. The Damascus Road Tour will launch in April 2027, bringing his full-band experience to audiences across the United States and Canada.
With Damascus Road, Josiah Queen is celebrating more than another successful release. His latest achievement demonstrates how music rooted in faith can find a place on mainstream charts while remaining committed to the message at its heart.
