Ellard Cherayi Releases New Live Worship Album ‘God The Lifter of Men, Volume 2’ Zimbabwean gospel minister, pastor and worship leader Ellard Tafadzwa Cherayi has officially released his highly anticipated live worship project, God The Lifter of Men, Volume 2, giving listeners around the world a fresh collection of songs rooted in faith, hope and encouragement.
Recorded live at Eastend Hall in Harare, the new album is now available on all major digital streaming platforms as well as YouTube, allowing worshippers everywhere to experience the powerful atmosphere captured during the recording.
Announcing the release on Instagram, Cherayi invited fans to join in celebrating the milestone.

His closing message, “Itira mweya wako zvakanaka,” is a Shona phrase that encourages people to take good care of their souls, reflecting the heart of the project and its focus on spiritual renewal through worship.
The album follows the success of the original God The Lifter of Men, which was released in 2023 alongside a live concert experience. The sequel continues Cherayi’s mission of creating worship music that inspires believers while pointing them to God’s faithfulness during life’s challenges.
Cherayi first gained widespread recognition as a member of the celebrated ZimPraise choir before establishing himself as one of Zimbabwe’s leading gospel voices. Alongside his wife, Sharon Manyonganise Cherayi, and the New Dawn ensemble, he has built a reputation for producing heartfelt worship music, including well-loved songs such as Fara Iwe Moyo Wangu and Hakuna Zita Sera Jesu.
