Chandler Moore Previews Upcoming Music Project: ‘An Overflow of Personal Healing’
Chandler Moore Shares Heartfelt Family Letter During His Recovery Journey
Chandler Moore Previews Upcoming Music Project: ‘An Overflow of Personal Healing.’ In a candid interview on the Human School Podcast, Grammy-winning worship leader and former Maverick City Music member Chandler Moore shared insights into his personal journey and how it has shaped his forthcoming music project.

Known for his soulful voice and contributions to contemporary worship, Chandler described his new work as the result of deep personal transformation rather than external expectations.
For the past two and a half years, Chandler Moore has focused on growth and healing in private. “The work has gone in before music, and the music is now a product of the work that’s been put in the personal stuff,” he said. He reflected on earlier stages in his career when he hoped music alone could spark change within him, but this project feels different. “Sometimes it works like that, but this time it feels special that the work has been done in private, and it’s still being done.”
Drawing on lessons from treatment and rehab, Moore highlighted the value of incremental progress. He shared advice from a teacher and recovery programs: “The next step that matters” and to “look forward and not far.” This approach has shaped his creative process, allowing inspiration to flow naturally as an overflow from internal growth rather than forcing transformation through music.
The new project will give Moore the chance to “sing about it, talk about it,” and promises both enjoyment and meaningful reflection. He expressed a desire to reach people who may feel lost or unaware of the resources available to them. “I’m glad to stir the water a bit with this world and bring people into it and provide whatever I can to help people like me who didn’t see a way out, who didn’t even know this world existed,” he said. “I didn’t even know there was help for someone like me.”
Moore emphasised his commitment to supporting others through music and open conversation, offering hope and companionship to those facing similar challenges.
These remarks come as he publicly reflects on a period of inpatient treatment in late 2023, during which he spent 40 days addressing personal struggles, including addiction and trauma. This season of recovery has reshaped his life, family relationships, and approach to artistry, placing authenticity at the heart of his new work.
Fans of Moore’s collaborations with Maverick City Music and Elevation Worship can look forward to a project grounded in vulnerability, presence, and healing. While no release date has been announced, his excitement suggests it will deeply resonate with listeners seeking inspiration and genuine connection.
