ELEVATION RHYTHM Celebrates Freedom In Christ With A New Album “Victory Lap”

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 15:57 (NIV)
NASHVILLE, TN. ELEVATION RHYTHM Celebrates Freedom In Christ With A New Album “Victory Lap.” Elevation Rhythm, the youth-centred music collective birthed from Elevation Church, has just released their most triumphant and unashamedly joyful project yet: Victory Lap. Amplified with passion, praise, and personal testimonies of transformation, the album is a musical celebration of freedom found in Christ, serving as a spiritual victory chant for a new generation.

From the very first track, “Finally Free,” Elevation Rhythm doesn’t hold back. The opening lyrics—“I used to be down, I was out… But now, I’m walking through the sea”—echo the story of Exodus, where God parted the Red Sea for His people to walk in deliverance (Exodus 14:21-22). The song pulses with energy, taking listeners on a personal exodus from fear, bondage, and darkness into the light of freedom. It’s more than music; it’s a declaration. “Look at me, I’m finally free!” becomes an anthem of resurrection life, reminiscent of John 8:36: “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
The second track, “Sing Of Your Love” featuring the dynamic Joe L Barnes, slows things down but raises the spiritual altitude. With heartfelt lyrics like “Your promises were proven in blood / You said it was done, and that’s more than enough,” the song beautifully captures the core message of the Gospel: Christ’s finished work on the cross. The bridge—“It’s all because of Jesus”—hits like a personal altar call. Barnes’ vocals soar as he reflects on God’s grace, sounding like a Psalmist in modern clothing.
This song is rooted in biblical truth, echoing:
Romans 5:8: “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
It’s a love song, not to fleeting emotion, but to the eternal, unfailing love of God.
If “Finally Free” is the breakout, “Goodbye Yesterday” featuring Gracie Binion is the breakthrough. The song reads like a spiritual memoir: “You rescued me out of the mess I was in / You traded my sorrow for something to sing.” It’s raw, raucous, and resolute.
The declaration “I’ve been born again” is repeated like a victory cry. It brings to mind 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!” The song crescendos into a modern revival as worshippers chant,
“I have decided to follow Jesus… and I won’t turn back.”
You can feel chains breaking in real time.
In “Where Oh Where,” Elevation Rhythm shifts from personal testimony to a corporate anthem of resurrection power. The lyrics ask, “Where oh where, death, is your sting?”—a direct reference to 1 Corinthians 15:55: “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
This track brims with spiritual authority, declaring that the believer has been handed the “key to depression, shame, addiction… all in one Name.” That Name is, of course, Jesus—the Lamb who was slain, the Lion who roared from the grave.
Abba I Know, featuring Tiffany Hudson. The song is a reminder of God’s unwavering love, even when we wander:
“After all my running / Chasing love that wasn’t / You come all of sudden / Throw Your arms around me.”
It’s a lyrical embodiment of Romans 8:38–39, affirming that “nothing can separate us from the love of God.”
Tiffany’s voice carries a raw sincerity that will resonate with anyone who has wrestled with unworthiness. The repetition of “I know, I know, You love me” becomes not just a lyric but a confession of faith.
