“I said to people, stop singing that song… ‘I want more of you, God… shh shh.’ Just shut up for a second because you sang that for the last four weeks. And after you sang it, you went and watched TV, movies, you know, food, food, food, play, play, play,” Aladiran said, pointing to a pattern he observes in modern worshippers.

He continued, “Then the next week you came, ‘I want more of you God…’ And after the meeting, you know what you did—movies, TikTok, videos, Instagram. And then the next week we came, ‘Oh Lord, I want more of you.’ Our generation will lie in our songs. You know you don’t want more of Him.”

Aladiran’s remarks struck a chord with many who feel that worship has become more of a routine than a reflection of true devotion. He emphasised the importance of aligning actions with words, urging believers to live out the spiritual hunger they express in their songs rather than treating worship as a performance or ritual.

His message is a call for introspection, pushing people to examine whether their spiritual expressions mirror their daily choices. In a world saturated with distractions, Aladiran’s words serve as a reminder that genuine connection with God requires more than repetition—it demands sincerity, consistency, and a willingness to live out one’s faith.
