Still, she balanced that thought with a more relational image of God. “But at the same time, God’s a father, and He loves His kids celebrating each other,” she explained. She continued, “So, yes, He wants us to be in a relationship with Him, and all glory is for Him, but at the same time, He’s a dad.”
From that, she concluded that there is room for joy in shared celebration. “I think that there is a beautiful part of that that He gets really happy when His kids celebrate each other,” she said, emphasising encouragement rather than competition.
