Roosevelt Stewart’s “What A God” Featuring Naomi Raine Earns Grammy Consideration
Roosevelt Stewart’s “What A God” Featuring Naomi Raine Earns Grammy Consideration. Worship artist and songwriter Roosevelt Stewart is celebrating a significant moment in his musical journey after learning that his live rendition of “What A God,” featuring Naomi Raine, is being considered for a Grammy Award.

Roosevelt Stewart shared the exciting news with his Instagram followers, expressing disbelief and gratitude at the possibility of the worship song receiving recognition from the Recording Academy.
“Can’t believe I am saying this – ‘What A God’ is Being Considered for A GRAMMY?!?!?🤯,” he wrote. “Lord, you are BEYOND kind to me! And to have done it with my worship sibling @naomiraine just TAKES IT OVER THE TOP!”
The worship leader also encouraged members of the Recording Academy to consider the song during the voting process, particularly if its message has resonated with them.
Released in June 2026, Stewart’s live version of “What A God” later became part of his debut solo live album, Memory. The recording brings together his heartfelt approach to worship and Raine’s powerful vocals, offering a fresh expression of a song that has already made a considerable impact within the worship music community.
The original version of “What A God” was co-written by Stewart, Chelsea Plank, Kenzie Walker, Bobby Walker and Brunes Charles. The song gained widespread attention through SEU Worship and ONE HOUSE, accumulating tens of millions of streams and receiving a 2025 GMA Dove Award nomination for Worship Recorded Song of the Year.
With its central message celebrating the goodness of God, the song has connected with listeners through its reminder that His nature and faithfulness exceed human expectations. Stewart’s collaboration with Raine brings renewed depth to that declaration, pairing two worship voices in a live performance centred on gratitude and reverence.
The Grammy consideration arrives as the Recording Academy moves through the process for the 69th Annual Grammy Awards. First-round voting opened on October 12 and runs until October 22, 2026. The nominees are scheduled to be announced on November 16, ahead of the ceremony on February 7, 2027.
For Stewart, the moment represents another meaningful chapter in a journey shaped by music, ministry and a desire to point people towards God. Known among friends as the “Hidden King David,” the Fort Myers, Florida-raised musician is a multi-instrumentalist, Dove Award nominee and collaborator whose work includes contributions to SEU Worship, Transformation Worship and Maverick City Music.
His debut live album, Memory, recorded in Atlanta earlier this year, reflects on the importance of remembering God’s faithfulness. Stewart has described memory as “a history in the mind,” a theme that runs through the project and its emphasis on looking back at God’s goodness.
Now, as “What A God” receives Grammy consideration, Stewart’s response remains rooted in gratitude. Rather than treating the recognition as a personal achievement alone, he has used the moment to celebrate the opportunity to share the song with Raine and invite others to support a piece of music that has touched their lives.
Whether the recording advances to the nomination stage remains to be seen, but its consideration marks an encouraging milestone for both artists. For Stewart, a song written to celebrate the goodness of God has created another opportunity to share that message with a wider audience.
