Siphesihle Molefe Launches Weekly ‘Core Identity in Christ’ Prayer Sessions For Young People. Siphesihle Molefe is extending her ministry to young people with the launch of “Core Identity in Christ,” a new weekly online prayer gathering designed to help the next generation grow in their understanding of who they are in God.
The hour-long sessions will take place every Tuesday from 22:00 to 23:00 on Google Meet through Jacob Generation, a foundation founded by Molefe with a focus on the spiritual wellbeing of young people.
“As Jacob we believe this will help young people know who God says they are and it will build them up,” Siphesihle Molefe told Worship Chronicle.
The initiative reflects the wider focus of Molefe’s ministry, which has seen her use creative expression, her voice and mentorship to encourage others in their faith. A spiritual dancer, voice-over artist and mentor to young girls, Molefe has previously spoken about the importance of prayer and allowing the Holy Spirit to guide her work.
Her journey into spiritual dance began with a desire to understand the meaning behind her movements during worship. After praying for God to reveal that meaning, she described experiencing a deeper connection to the Spirit, which led her to pursue her calling through continued prayer and dedication.
Molefe also approaches her voice-over work as an extension of her faith, describing it as an opportunity to glorify God and edify His people. Her commitment to young people is equally evident in her mentorship, where she emphasises prayer and sharing the Word of God with those she mentors.
That same heart for the younger generation now informs “Core Identity in Christ.” The prayer sessions will focus on biblical identity, encouraging participants to discover what Scripture says about who they are while developing their faith, confidence and understanding of purpose.
Through Jacob Generation, the weekly gatherings aim to create a consistent online space where young people can pray, reflect on Scripture and strengthen their relationship with God. The virtual format also allows students and young adults to participate from wherever they are.
With the Tuesday sessions now open, “Core Identity in Christ” gives young people another opportunity to connect, pray and grow while building their lives around the truth of who God says they are.
