Taya Gaukrodger Finds Light In The Valley With New Album ‘The Reminder’

10 Worship Songs To Enrich Your Personal Devotion
Amidst airport layovers, emotional valleys, and the quiet chaos of motherhood, worship artist Taya Gaukrodger has emerged with a resounding declaration of hope in her latest album, The Reminder — a body of work forged in the most personal and poignant seasons of her life.

In a heartfelt post shared with fans, Taya peeled back the curtain on what went into creating the album — a project she and husband Ben crafted while living out of suitcases for five and a half months, all while caring for their one-year-old son.
“We were travelling the world, honouring what we’d said yes to… whilst coming back to Nashville after every trip to write, record, mix, film and finish my second album that we had not accounted for,” she wrote. But what seemed like a logistical challenge quickly became a spiritual journey.
Between shifting management, the mental strain of balancing new motherhood, and a lingering health scare, Taya admitted she was “flailing on the inside.” Yet amid all the uncertainty, one thing remained constant — her faith. “2024 was WILD,” she admitted, “and I had no idea what 2025 would hold, but God did.”
As she faced the looming possibility of a second skin cancer diagnosis and surgery, the songs she was working on took on new meaning. One in particular became her anchor in the storm:
“…when you’re in the valley, remember what you know… You never let me go, I’ve got history to prove it, my future is secure…”
She didn’t just write these words — she lived them. Singing over her family as they awaited a miracle for her newborn niece, Taya held tightly to hope. Today, she shares the miraculous outcome: “I am healed in Jesus’ name. My niece is also a walking, talking miracle.”
More than just melodies and lyrics, The Reminder is a testimony. It’s a journal of trust written in the tension between fear and faith, a love letter to God’s constancy in ever-changing seasons. “He is the One who remains,” Taya emphasized, “the One who is with us through it all.”
With fresh scars and stronger conviction, Taya invites listeners to hear and remember the album. To remember the One who heals. The One who shows up. The One who stays.
In her own words:
“You’re so faithful, So True, I know I can trust You,
Cause I know You’ll always be good to me,
Always be good to me.”
As The Reminder rings out across the globe, it does more than tell her story — it echoes the truth many need to hear right now: God is faithful, and His goodness is never out of reach.
