LAGOS, NIGERIA. Victoria Orenze Declares Christ’s Lordship In New Album: “Jesus Christ Vol 1” With a divine outpouring of sound and spirit, Nigerian gospel psalmist Victoria Orenze unveils her latest spiritual offering, Jesus Christ Vol. 1—a twelve-track symphony filled with worship, praise, and heavenly declarations that exalt the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Victoria Orenze Declares Christ’s Lordship In New Album: “Jesus Christ Vol 1”

Known for her relentless pursuit of God’s presence and her prophetic soundscapes, Orenze’s new album serves not only as music, but as ministry—an altar of fire inviting listeners to bow, surrender, and rise in authority through Christ.

Just as Jesus proclaimed in John 12:32, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me,” so too does every track in this project function as a trumpet blast, lifting high the name that is above every other name.

It begins with “Glorify Your Name,” a reverent anthem rooted in the resurrected truth of Christ’s life. With the heartfelt cry, “He’s not dead, they need to see Jesus in you,” Victoria calls believers to reflect Christ boldly in a world desperate for His light. The melody is tender but commanding, reminding us of Philippians 2:10, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow…”

From there, the journey descends deeper into the mystery of the Trinity with “Important To Me”—a 26-minute love song to the Holy Spirit. “The One that glorifies Jesus through us is the Holy Ghost,” she affirms, echoing John 16:14,

“He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall show it unto you.”

With the soul-bearing chorus, “You’re important to me, Holy Ghost,” this track sets a table for intimate communion with the third person of the Godhead.

As the album unfolds, so does the sacred obsession. “Obsession” spans 20 minutes of holy longing—Orenze declaring, “You’re my addiction, Holy Ghost.” This isn’t emotionalism—it’s the groaning of the Spirit within (Romans 8:26). It’s a clarion call for a generation to become consumed by the fire of God.

But worship gives way to war. On “Dominate,” Victoria Orenze doesn’t just sing—she declares kingdom authority. “I dominate with the power of Christ that is in me, and I cast out demons,” she proclaims, drawing strength from Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give you power… over all the power of the enemy.” It’s a rousing 11-minute declaration of victory, drenched in praise and fire.

Then comes the awe: “Mind Blowing Jesus” reveres the wonder-working Saviour who still walks among us in Spirit and power. “You are still amazing, Miracle-working Jesus,” she sings, evoking Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.”

Joy bubbles up in “Na so So Wonder,” a simple yet rich expression of thanksgiving. With lyrics like “You are so wonderful, God,” the track rejoices in the daily miracles of divine presence, fitting for Psalm 126:3, “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”

Victoria slows things down again with “Starts and Ends With Jesus,” where the eternal Christ is proclaimed Alpha and Omega (Revelation 22:13). The repetition becomes meditation—reminding us that from birth to resurrection, our story is authored by Him.

Suddenly, a sonic trumpet: “Jesus Is Alive” bursts forth with energy and resurrection power. “Jesus is forever reigning, and nothing is too hard for Him!” she declares. This is resurrection theology set to rhythm—Romans 6:9 made melody: “Christ, being raised from the dead, dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.”

The ninth track, “Oyibiri,” is an explosion of faith rooted in the impossible. With bold confidence, Victoria sings, “The one who can do the impossible lives inside of you and I,” making 1 John 4:4 echo in our hearts:

“Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

“God Is Able” is a bold reminder of divine capacity. “I know my God is able to do the impossible,” she sings, echoing Ephesians 3:20, “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think…”

As the album reaches its crescendo, “Matchless Name” exalts the authority of Christ with sacred awe. “Jesus, Matchless Name,” she sings, stripping fear of its power and adorning the throne of Christ with praise. …” (Acts 4:12).

Then, the closer—an unapologetic statement of faith. “I’m Not Mad” is Orenze’s defiant love letter to Christ. “I’m not mad, I’m just following Christ,” she declares, reminiscent of Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 5:13:

“If we are out of our minds, it is for God.”

Jesus Christ Vol. 1 isn’t just an album. It is a prophetic act. It is a baptism of worship, warfare, and wonder. Victoria Orenze has crafted a project that doesn’t just entertain—it alters atmospheres and awakens hearts. In a time of noise and confusion, this project calls believers back to the foundation: Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 2:2).
