Cody Carnes & Kari Jobe Expand The Classic Doxology With Six New Verses Tracing The Full Arc of Redemption. Worship leaders and husband-and-wife duo Cody Carnes and Kari Jobe are breathing new life into one of Christianity’s most treasured hymns, giving the familiar words of the Doxology a much bigger story to tell.

Their upcoming release, Doxology (All Praise), is set to arrive on November 13, introducing six original verses that take listeners on a journey through the full story of God’s redemption.
The traditional Doxology, widely recognised by its opening words, “Praise God from whom all blessings flow,” has remained a cherished expression of praise across generations of believers. However, Carnes and Jobe have taken the familiar hymn beyond its original structure, expanding it into a worship song that traces the defining moments of the Christian faith.
The six new verses follow a deliberate progression through Creation, the Cross, the Resurrection, the Holy Spirit, the Return of Christ and Revelation. Together, these themes capture the unfolding story of God’s relationship with humanity, from the beginning of creation to the ultimate fulfilment of His promises.
Rather than simply revisiting a familiar hymn, the pair have created an opportunity for churches to sing through the bigger picture of the Gospel. Each verse contributes another chapter to the story, bringing together the foundations of Christian belief in one congregational expression of worship.
Adding another meaningful layer to the announcement is the artwork selected to accompany the release. The duo have highlighted Agnus Dei, Cordero Místico (Lamb of God, Mystical Lamb), a late-18th-century painting by Puerto Rican artist José Campeche y Jordan.
The artwork depicts the Lamb resting upon the Book of the Seven Seals, drawing inspiration from the imagery found in the Book of Revelation. Its connection to the victory of Jesus Christ makes it a fitting visual representation of the song’s journey, particularly its closing movement towards the final revelation of Christ.
Carnes and Jobe have continued to establish themselves as influential voices in contemporary worship, contributing songs that bring biblical truths into accessible expressions of praise. Known for their work on worship favourites such as The Blessing, the couple have consistently demonstrated a heart for creating music that connects the church with the presence and promises of God.
With Doxology (All Praise), they return to a familiar foundation while offering believers a fresh way to reflect on the story of salvation. Its November 13 release also arrives during a season when many churches begin turning their attention towards thanksgiving, the anticipation of Christ’s coming and the closing weeks of the church calendar.
From the wonder of Creation to the promise of Revelation, Carnes and Jobe’s expanded Doxology brings the entire story into focus, inviting the global Church to lift one united declaration: all praise belongs to God.
