Nigerian worship leader Nathaniel Bassey has announced a surprise single titled “O DARA,” scheduled for release on Friday, December 12, 2025. “I thought to release this one ahead of the album ‘GLORY OF HIS PRESENCE’ coming in January 2026,” Bassey wrote. “The coming album is a GLORY experience. An emphasis on the tangible manifestation of God’s presence through worship. It’s your companion for 2026 and beyond. But for now, bask in this cloud ‘O DARA’. Christmas is glorious, and the new year is even more glorious. Come Friday, get ready, tell your fellow worshippers, stream and share. O DARA!”

The single is being positioned as a seasonal offering that bridges the Christmas period and the start of the new year. Bassey described the forthcoming album as an immersive worship project centred on encountering God’s presence through music and corporate worship.

Listeners can expect “O DARA” to be available on major streaming platforms at midnight on Friday. Bassey encouraged fans and worship leaders to share the single and use it as a worship resource as they enter 2026.

Bassey reinforced the release with a scripture reflection from Revelation 7:9-10 NKJV, which he quoted in his announcement: “After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!’”

Fans of contemporary gospel and worship music will likely watch streaming services and Bassey’s social channels for the drop. The single serves as a taster for what the artist promises will be a presence-focused album experience in January.
