Sidewalk Prophets Release First-Ever Live Album “Great Big Family Christmas (LIVE).” Sidewalk Prophets are bringing the warmth and wonder of their beloved Christmas concerts into homes this holiday season with the surprise release of Great Big Family Christmas LIVE!, an 18-song collection that captures the spirit of their annual festive tour.
Released on October 23, 2026, the two-disc album features live recordings from the Christian pop band’s Great Big Family Christmas shows, giving listeners an opportunity to revisit the music, joy and moments of connection that have made the tour a cherished tradition.
The band shared the exciting news on social media, writing, “We’ve been keeping a little Christmas secret, and we FINALLY get to share it with you!” Their announcement reflected the excitement surrounding a project that celebrates more than just Christmas music. For Sidewalk Prophets, the album also honours the audiences who have helped turn their annual shows into a gathering filled with laughter, hope and a sense of family.
Great Big Family Christmas LIVE! features live renditions of songs from the group’s earlier holiday release, Merry Christmas to You. Among the highlights are original Christmas favourites “Hey Moon” and “What a Glorious Night,” alongside their acclaimed interpretation of “That Spirit of Christmas.” The collection also includes some of the band’s signature songs, bringing together festive favourites and familiar anthems in a live setting.
The release marks a significant milestone for Sidewalk Prophets, serving as the band’s first full-length live project as they celebrate 25 years since their beginnings in an Indiana college dorm room. The album also arrives as the group prepares to return to the road for another edition of its Great Big Family Christmas Tour, with performances scheduled across multiple cities from mid-November through December.
For believers who have made the annual concerts part of their Christmas tradition, the new collection offers a way to relive those special evenings long after the final song. For those discovering the band or its holiday music for the first time, it provides an invitation to experience the heart behind a tour built around music, community and the hope of the season.
Great Big Family Christmas LIVE! is available now, with limited autographed copies also on offer for listeners looking to add a personal keepsake to their holiday collection. As Sidewalk Prophets continue a tradition that has brought people together year after year, the album invites households to carry a little of that Christmas atmosphere into their own celebrations.
