Tauren Wells Reclaims The Spotlight As Host Of 57th GMA Dove Awards. Tauren Wells is set to return as host of the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, extending his run as the familiar face of Christian music’s biggest celebration for a fourth consecutive year.
The eight-time Dove Award winner shared the news with fans in a lighthearted social media post on July 29, writing, “Don’t call it a comeback!! Ya boy is hosting the DOVE AWARDS again!” His announcement came shortly after the Gospel Music Association revealed the nominees for this year’s awards.
Tauren Wells first took on hosting duties at the 54th Annual GMA Dove Awards in 2023 and has remained at the helm ever since. Over the past three ceremonies, he has become known for blending humour, heartfelt encouragement, and energetic moments that have helped shape the tone of the annual event.
This year marks an even bigger milestone for the platinum-selling artist. Alongside returning as host, Tauren Wells will serve as an executive producer for the show, perform during the ceremony, and compete for two Dove Awards of his own.
Reflecting on his return, Wells emphasised that the Dove Awards represent something much deeper than an evening of recognition.
“The Dove Awards are more than just an awards show,” he said. “The promise of scripture is if two or three people come together, Jesus is in our midst. We know this isn’t about trophies; it’s about elevating the name of Jesus and celebrating those who have done that very well this year. I’m so grateful to be back hosting, and I cannot wait to get back on that stage; it’s truly an honour.”
The 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. This year’s theme, “Together For One,” highlights the Gospel Music Association’s focus on unity across the Christian and Gospel music community.
The ceremony will air exclusively on TBN and the TBN+ app beginning October 9, with a re-air scheduled for October 16. Fans will also be able to listen to a live audio broadcast on SiriusXM’s The Message.
Wells first gained national recognition as the frontman of Royal Tailor before launching a successful solo career that produced multiple hit songs and established him as one of contemporary Christian music’s most recognisable voices. His continued presence as host has made him a natural fit for the Dove Awards stage, where he has consistently balanced celebration, worship, and inspiration.
With another year behind the microphone, Wells is once again preparing to lead an evening dedicated to honouring the artists, songs, and ministries that have shaped Christian and Gospel music over the past year.
