Forrest Frank Announces Surprise Album ‘Child of God 2’

LOS ANGELES, CA. Forrest Frank Announces Surprise Album ‘Child of God 2’. Forrest Frank is flipping the script on how albums are made. The beloved Christian artist and genre-bender just dropped a holy bombshell: his next album, Child of God 2, is dropping May 9th — and it was crafted entirely on the road, right in the heart of his tour.

No extended rollout. No overproduced hype campaign. Just raw faith, late nights on the bus, and an unshakable desire to document the here and now.
“I wanted to capture the current heartbeat,” Frank said. “Rather than make an album, market it for months, and THEN tour it…I wanted to finish an album during tour.”
It was an ambitious vision — part worship, part experiment — that seemed near impossible. Yet, piece by piece, prayer by prayer, the album came together. Some songs had been in development for years. Others came together in weeks. A few were finished mere days before the official announcement. The common thread? God’s timing.
In one of the album’s most cinematic behind-the-scenes details, producer Jacob “Biz” Morris lived on the tour bus for a stretch to help mix the project on the go. Meanwhile, engineer Pera Krstajic clocked what Frank Forrest called “hundreds of hours” of FaceTime calls to get the sonic details just right.
“It honestly didn’t make ANY sense or seem possible,” Frank admitted. “But we walked by faith & miraculously it all came together.”
Child of God 2 is more than a sequel — it’s a living, breathing reflection of Forrest’s community, their collective worship, and a moment in time captured under divine direction. Known for blending hip-hop, gospel, and pop with a message rooted in hope, Forrest is praying this album serves a higher purpose: to bring listeners closer to Jesus.
