Commons Worship Launches Monthly Worship Song Series With “Saved by Grace.” Commons Worship has officially begun a new chapter with the release of “Saved by Grace,” the first song in an ambitious year-long series created to serve local churches and worship leaders.
The worship collective, formerly known as CXMMXNS, unveiled its new identity on September 4, 2026, with founders Ben Fielding and Reuben Morgan also introducing the first release under the Commons Worship name. The pair have committed to releasing one original worship song every month for the next 12 months, with each song arriving on the same day of the month.
“Saved by Grace” is rooted in Ephesians 2:8-9 and focuses on the message that salvation is a gift from God, received through faith rather than earned through human effort. The song points listeners back to the finished work of Christ and the assurance that God’s grace does not depend on whether someone has had a good or difficult day.
Fielding and Morgan explained that the decision to launch the new name alongside the first song was intentional. They wanted the first introduction to Commons Worship to communicate what the collective hopes to offer churches through the new monthly release schedule.
The project is built around a straightforward goal: creating worship songs that churches can readily use in their regular gatherings. Rather than focusing on trends or chasing viral attention, Commons Worship is placing emphasis on accessible melodies, congregational singing and clear biblical themes. Their guiding philosophy is simple: “Clear is better than clever.”
“Saved by Grace” is available across major streaming platforms and has also been accompanied by a lyric video and promotional content highlighting the song’s scriptural foundation. The release has begun drawing attention from worship leaders and church communities, particularly for its accessible language and congregational focus.
For Fielding and Morgan, the launch marks more than a change of name. It represents a renewed focus on creating songs that help churches worship together and keep the message of God’s grace at the centre.
With “Saved by Grace” setting the tone, Commons Worship’s next release is scheduled to arrive on the same day next month, continuing the collective’s commitment to delivering a new worship song every month for an entire year.
