Taking to Instagram, the Johannesburg-based singer captured the heart behind the event with a bold declaration: “I HAVE A TESTIMONY, AND IT HAS A SOUND!”

She went on to encourage her followers to gather and celebrate the goodness of God, making it clear that the upcoming concert is about more than music. For Bafundzie, it is an opportunity to give voice to God’s faithfulness and share what He has done in her life.

“Fam, come and hear what the Lord has done! This is not just music; this is a testimony of His goodness, faithfulness, and mighty works!” she wrote.

Her announcement draws inspiration from Psalm 66:16, which reads: “Come and hear, all you who fear God; let me tell you what he has done for me.” The Scripture reflects the heart of the gathering, positioning the concert as an invitation for believers to come together in worship and hear a testimony of God’s goodness.

The announcement also builds on the momentum of her album, Thus Says The Lord, released in September 2026. The project features songs such as “The Kingdom,” “This Is That,” “Yeshua Hamashiach” and the earlier worship anthem “Gcwalisa Lendzawo.”

Known offstage as Bafundzisiwe Mavuso, Bafundzie has continued to establish herself within South Africa’s worship community through a distinctive sound shaped by her classical training and contemporary gospel influences. Having transitioned from opera into full-time ministry, she has brought her musical background into spaces of worship, including gatherings at Yonder Worship Centre and Jesus This, Jesus That.

The Thus Says The Lord concert will take place on November 21 at Yonder Worship Centre in Midrand, with tickets priced at R200. Tickets are available through Webtickets at Webtickets.com.

With the announcement, Bafundzie is extending an invitation to believers to gather for an experience centred on worship, testimony and gratitude for God’s mighty works.

Her words, “This is not just music; this is a testimony,” capture the heart of the announcement. It is a call to gather, worship and remember the faithfulness of God.

For believers who have experienced His goodness, the invitation is simple: come and hear what the Lord has done.
