TASHA COBBS LEONARD ANNOUNCES 34-TRACK ‘TASHA UNSCRIPTED’ LIVE ALBUM. Gospel music powerhouse Tasha Cobbs Leonard is preparing to deliver one of the biggest live worship releases of her career. The three-time Grammy Award winner has revealed that her forthcoming album, Tasha Unscripted, will feature an impressive 34 tracks when it arrives on September 11 through Motown Gospel and Capitol Christian Music Group.
Sharing the news with fans on social media, Cobbs Leonard celebrated the album’s scale with her trademark excitement, joking that listeners were not imagining things before revealing the massive tracklist. She explained that nothing from the worship experience was left behind, saying every spontaneous moment, every musical flow, and every memorable “mic toss” made the final cut.
The project captures an unforgettable live worship gathering recorded in Atlanta earlier this year. Rather than following a rigid programme, the evening unfolded naturally as songs transitioned into one another, creating space for spontaneous worship, fresh musical moments, and heartfelt ministry.
The recording also features an all-star lineup of guest appearances, including Mickey Guyton, Jonathan McReynolds, Israel Houghton, Karen Clark Sheard, Kierra Sheard-Kelly, William Murphy and several others. Together, they breathed new life into beloved worship songs while introducing fresh material that reflected the spirit of the night.
Fans have already been given an early glimpse of what to expect through the release of “Gracefully Broken/Who The Son Sets Free (Live),” featuring Israel Houghton, accompanied by an official music video.
September 11 will also mark the beginning of Cobbs Leonard’s Unscripted Nights Tour, which launches in Charlotte, North Carolina, before making stops in Brunswick, Atlanta, the Washington, D.C. region, New York and additional cities. The tour is designed to recreate the same free-flowing worship atmosphere that defined the Atlanta recording, giving audiences an opportunity to experience the music in a live setting.
The release also signals a return to the live worship format that established Cobbs Leonard as one of gospel music’s most influential voices. Following the release of her 2025 studio album, TASHA, which explored a more intimate and genre-blending sound while topping Billboard’s Gospel Albums chart and earning Grammy nominations, she felt compelled to return to the spontaneity of live worship.
Reflecting on the new project, Cobbs Leonard said that after the quieter creative process behind TASHA, she felt called back into a room where no one could predict what God would do next. She described the atmosphere as one filled with freedom and said she is excited for listeners to experience that same spirit through both the album and the upcoming tour.
With pre-saves already available and anticipation continuing to grow, Tasha Unscripted is shaping up to be more than just another live album. Its expansive 34-track collection promises to preserve the energy, authenticity, and unforgettable moments of a worship night that simply refused to be contained.
