“The Lord is my shepherd, and I shall not want. But ultimately, where we are right now is the part that says, He anoints my head with oil, and my cup overflows,” Yanga Sobetwa said, reflecting on the faith and experiences that have brought her to this moment.

For Sobetwa, the upcoming recording represents more than another musical milestone. She sees it as the culmination of different seasons, lessons and songs that she believes God has used to guide her journey. With a heart full of gratitude, the singer described the moment as an overflow of everything she has experienced along the way.

“Every season, every lesson, and every song that God has pointed to me has led me to this moment. And my cup is full,” she shared.

Sobetwa is now inviting audiences to join her on October 16 for what promises to be a special night of worship and live music. Giving fans a glimpse into the scale of the occasion, she revealed that the recording will bring together 1,200 people for 10 songs, all centred around one God.

The singer captured the significance of the occasion in her caption: “My very first live recording! 🫢 1200 people 10 songs 1 God!”

With the event framed around the biblical imagery of an overflowing cup, Sobetwa appears ready to mark the next chapter of her career with an evening focused on worship, testimony and celebration. Tickets are available here.
