The three tracks are available alongside official live performance videos on the group’s YouTube channel. The release marks a new chapter for the worship collective, known for songs such as “King of Kings” and “What a Beautiful Name,” which have become familiar across churches worldwide.

Worship leader and songwriter Jad Gillies described the three songs as offering different musical directions, giving listeners a glimpse of the variety they can expect from the full album.

“Praise The Lord Hallelujah Amen,” written by Tahisha Hunt, Eric Liljero and Rocky Nti, draws on the opening chapter of John’s Gospel before building into a declaration of praise that calls for Christ to be glorified and Jesus to be lifted high. Its hymn-inspired character combines with a contemporary worship sound, centring on the desire for God’s Kingdom to come and His will to be done.

“Flood,” co-written by Gillies, Nigel Hendroff and Rocky Nti, takes inspiration from Psalm 23:6, focusing on the enduring goodness, mercy and faithfulness of God. Its chorus declares, “Your love is like a flood / Your grace is like a wave / Your faithfulness and mercy follow me all of my days.” According to Gillies, the song has already resonated with congregations during church services, reinforcing its message of trust in God’s goodness.

The third release, “As You Are,” turns to the biblical call to holiness found in 1 Peter 1:16. Written by Nigel Hendroff, Alexander Pappas and Harrison Wood, the song expresses a desire to live a life set apart for God, with the lyrics, “I wanna be holy as You’re holy / I wanna be set apart for You.” Its message connects the pursuit of holiness with the work of Christ on the cross.

Together, the three releases introduce key aspects of Holy Is the Name, with an emphasis on praise, consecration and a deeper understanding of God’s character. The songs invite congregations to turn their attention towards Him through music rooted in biblical themes.

Hillsong Worship’s latest releases reflect a continued commitment to serving the Church through worship music rather than trying to recreate the success of its earlier songs. Gillies has emphasised the importance of following God’s direction and faithfully building on what the ministry believes He has entrusted to them.

Congregational response also remains an important part of the songwriting process, with songs allowed to connect with worshippers in local church settings before reaching a wider audience.

With more than four decades of history, Hillsong Worship continues to contribute to the global Church’s worship repertoire. The latest releases reflect a focus on biblical clarity and congregational participation, offering songs centred on declaring God’s holiness and responding to His presence.

The full live album Holy Is the Name is scheduled for release on February 19, 2027.
