Nations Set To Converge As AWAKENED ’26 Calls for A Mighty Shift. Johannesburg is preparing to welcome believers from across Southern Africa and beyond as AWAKENED ’26 sets its sights on becoming more than a one-day Christian gathering. Organiser Kabelo Mohale says the event is being shaped as a prophetic moment where nations, leaders and voices will converge around Jesus.

Nations Set To Converge As AWAKENED ’26 Calls for A Mighty Shift

“We are trusting the LORD for a mighty shift,” Mohale shared. “This is more than nations represented on a graphic. It is a prophetic picture of what God is gathering. Nations will be in the room. Voices will converge. Leaders will gather. And something greater than a conference will emerge.”

Set for Saturday, 12 September 2026, at House of Treasures Ministries in Johannesburg, AWAKENED ’26 is centred on a vision of spiritual renewal, leadership alignment and commissioning. The gathering is expected to create a space where hearts are restored, the Church is stirred awake and believers are equipped to carry the Presence and Wisdom of God into their everyday spheres of influence.

The call stretches across borders, with attendees expected from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Nigeria, Lesotho, Eswatini, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other parts of the region. At the heart of the gathering is a simple declaration: One Room. One Sound. One Awakening to Jesus.

Behind the movement are Kabelo and Mogale Mohale, the husband-and-wife team who founded the Beloved movement and have continued to grow the annual Awakened gathering into a platform for prayer, worship and spiritual encounter.

The journey began years ago with a small women’s prayer circle at the University of Cape Town. Since then, the movement has expanded considerably, drawing thousands of people who are seeking deeper consecration, renewed faith and a fresh encounter with God.

For AWAKENED ’26, the theme is Fresh Fire, inspired by the biblical account of Elijah rebuilding the altar before the fire of God fell. Rather than focusing on spectacle, organisers say the gathering is about returning a generation to the altar of worship, devotion and surrender.

One of the defining features of this year’s gathering is that registration is completely free. For the Mohales, the decision is rooted in obedience and a desire to ensure that cost does not become a barrier for those who feel called to attend.

“When the Lord speaks, we yield,” they have explained.

The vision also reaches beyond the gathering itself. According to Mohale, attendees are expected to leave AWAKENED ’26 carrying a renewed sense of purpose that can influence their families, workplaces, communities and nations.

“We believe AWAKENED ’26 will be a meeting point… where hearts are resuscitated, the Church is awakened, leaders are aligned, and people are commissioned,” Mohale said.

With 12 September drawing closer, the message surrounding the gathering remains focused and unmistakable: Jesus, have Your way.

Free registration is available through www.belovedawakened.co.za, with each registration allowing a maximum of three seats. Doors will open early on the day as attendees gather in an atmosphere organisers hope will be marked by hunger, expectancy and wholehearted surrender.

For the hosts, AWAKENED ’26 represents more than another date on the Christian events calendar. It is being presented as a prophetic declaration over a generation, with the room prepared for whatever God chooses to do.
