Gaise Baba Announces “God Is Cooking” Africa Tour. Nigerian Afrogospel star and self-styled Culture Architect Gaise Baba is taking his latest musical offering, God Is Cooking, beyond the studio as he prepares to connect with audiences across Africa and beyond.
“Let’s go!⚡️ I’m really looking forward to connecting with my African family across our beautiful continent!” the Lagos-based artist announced in a post, directing fans to ticket information for Kenya through @chitondhlovu, Uganda through @vineentgroup, as well as the Lagos waitlist available via the link in his bio. He signed off with a clear message to the continent: “Africa, Gaise Baba is coming!”
The God Is Cooking Tour gets underway this month, with several African dates already confirmed. Gaise Baba will perform in Uganda on September 11 before heading to Kenya on September 13. The continental run continues with a Côte d’Ivoire date on October 24, a Ghana show on December 5, and a homecoming performance in Lagos on December 19.
The tour will also extend beyond Africa, with planned stops across North America, including Atlanta, Chicago, Calgary, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Maryland, New York and Toronto. European dates are also lined up for London, Manchester, Germany and the Netherlands. Organisers are inviting potential hosts in additional cities to get in touch via tours@gaisebaba.com.
The road trip comes shortly after the August 14 release of God Is Cooking, a 13-track album presented as a musical “13-course meal.” The project blends Afrogospel with Afro-house, hip-hop influences and elements of Nigeria’s rich musical heritage, while drawing inspiration from figures including JJ Ransome-Kuti and the late Dagrin.
Lawrence Oyor, Kae Strings and Nontokozo Mkhize are among the collaborators featured on the album, which explores faith, cultural identity, memory and modern African expression.
Born Akinade Ibuoye, Gaise Baba has carved out a distinctive sound through his fusion of Yoruba, English and Pidgin. His work also extends beyond music, with the artist founding the LightOut Initiative, which uses concerts and creative arts to engage secondary-school students around personal development and social impact.
He is also behind the ARAMANDA Afro-Urban Music and Arts Festival and the Black Flame podcast. His No Turning Back run, particularly the success of No Turning Back II in 2025, further established his ability to connect faith-driven African music with a growing live audience.
East African fans already have two major opportunities to catch the Culture Architect in action. His September 11 Uganda performance forms part of Alive in the Park at the Hockey Grounds in Lugogo, with tickets available through Vine Entertainment Group.
Two days later, Gaise Baba heads to Kenya for the No Turning Back Experience / Alive in the Park at The Waterfront, Ngong Racecourse on September 13.
Meanwhile, fans in Lagos can get ahead of the December 19 homecoming by joining the official waitlist.
With God Is Cooking still fresh and the first African performances approaching, Gaise Baba is ready to turn the album’s central concept into a live experience. The music has been served, and now the Culture Architect is bringing the feast to Africa.
