Hle Announces First Headline Show In Five Years With ‘JaN30’ Worship Gathering
Hle Announces First Headline Show In Five Years With ‘JaN30’ Worship Gathering. South African gospel powerhouse Hlengiwe Ntombela-Mthethwa, better known as Hle, is officially making her long-awaited return to the stage with her own headline event after a five-year break.

The award-winning singer, songwriter and producer delighted fans on Friday by announcing JaN30 #HLE, a special worship gathering set to take place on 30 January at 17:00 at Heartfelt Arena. Tickets are now available through Webtickets.
Sharing the news on social media, Hle revealed that the event was inspired by persistent requests from supporters who have been eager to see her host another standalone show.
“It’s been 5 years since we had our own show. After you asked so ‘nicely’ 😂🤣 (and honestly I owe you), we are having our show #JaN30 #HLE,” she wrote.
The singer also hinted that the gathering will carry a deeper spiritual purpose than a traditional concert.
“I can’t wait to pray with you, plan with you, figure it out with you. But the Lord really has spoken. So let the church say…??”
She wrapped up her announcement with a heartfelt message to fans, adding, “Love you down. Remember you promised to come and I’m giving you enough time. Please. 😕”
Promotional artwork for the event features elegant portraits of Hle against a soft neutral backdrop alongside a passage from Ezekiel that reads: “And I will not hide my face anymore from them, when I pour out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, declares the Lord GOD.”
The announcement marks Hle’s first self-hosted event since stepping away from headline shows several years ago. While she has remained active in music and ministry, fans have continued calling for a return to the intimate worship experiences that have become synonymous with her ministry.
Many will also remember her 2021 Mzansi Magic series VIP Invite, which blended worship, testimonies, live performances and personal conversations into a unique praise and worship experience.
Known for songs including “You Are,” Hle has established herself as one of South Africa’s leading gospel voices, earning a loyal audience through her music, heartfelt ministry and unwavering focus on prayer, faith and community.
Her latest announcement reflects that same spirit. Rather than positioning JaN30 #HLE as simply another live performance, she has presented it as a gathering where worshippers can pray, seek direction and experience fellowship together.
With several months remaining before the January event, supporters have plenty of time to honour the promise Hle jokingly reminded them they had already made. For many gospel music lovers, the show is shaping up to be a long-awaited reunion with one of the country’s most beloved worship leaders.
